Hidden City Philadelphia Report Now Available
A message from Hidden City Philadelphia:
Earlier this winter, we held an event at an amazing private estate in Chestnut Hill. We were thrilled to see so many familiar faces – festival visitors, volunteers, artists, and community members – and start talking about Hidden City 2012.
We’ve collected tons of great suggestions for new and improved Hidden City programs, as well as page after page of site ideas – from the underground (City Hall basement, old SEPTA tunnels) to the above ground (Reading Viaduct, the roof of the Furness Library) to the waterbound (the Navy Yard, S.S. United States), to the out-of-town (Awbury Arboretum, Valley Green Inn).
Miss the meet-up? No problem! Check out the 2009 Report which was presented at the event by Hidden City leaders Jay Wahl and Thaddeus Squire. Feel free to write us with any questions or comments, or join the conversation at our website.
We need your support to make all the Hidden City goodness – gorgeous detritus, industrial playgrounds, provoking performances, and architectural grandeur – happen again. If you’re interested in getting involved at a more organizational level, we’d love to hear from you.
Stay tuned… there are exciting things in the works.
