Help for failing septic systems

Residents with old and/or failing septic systems will be able to get info on how they can get loans to replace those systems at a workshop in Georgetown.

Information about Delaware’s Septic Rehabilitation Loan Program which offers low-interest and no-interest loans will be available at the workshop held at First State Community Action Agency at 308 North Railroad Avenue.  The workshop will be held from 3 to 7 p.m.  State environmental leaders estimate that there are 80,000 septic systems or cesspools in Delaware, and about 18% of these may be malfunctioning.
