Helicopter aerial photography shows off Northeast’s Delaware Riverfront

On Memorial Day, local photographer Fred Moore—who’s also the President of the Holmesburg Civic Association and a local historian—had the opportunity to photograph large swaths of the Northeast’s Delaware Riverfront from a helicopter.

Moore’s three dozen shots, forwarded to PlanPhilly by the Delaware River City Corporation, offer an extraordinary and rare perspective of the developmental, industrial and geographical highlights of the river, like the boat launch at Pleasant Hill Park, the vast manufacturing spreads of the Northeast and the Delaware’s gentle, curving tributaries.

Be sure to check out all the photos at Fred’s iShots portal, but scope a few photos below.

Pleasant Hill Park connects with a stretch of greenway at the edge of the Holmesburg and East Torresdale neighborhoods.
