Guilty plea entered for Philly mob CFO

Rather than face another lengthy court proceeding, the self-proclaimed CFO of the Philadelphia Mafia has pled guilty to racketeering and illegal gambling.

Philly.com reports that Anthony “Ant” Staino, 55, of Swedesboro, New Jersey was convicted of two loan-sharking counts during a trial this past year, but the jury acquitted or deadlocked on most other charges.

Fellow Mafioso Joseph “Uncle Joe” Ligambi and his nephew George Borgesi who were similarly tried will be retried on the main racketeering charge.
