Green for mayor?

If Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter was expecting a tough Democratic Primary race next year, news from City Councilman Bill Green may have made things look even tougher.

Green has backed off his stance that he will not run for mayor next year, saying there needs to be a debate about how the city is being run.

Green says he’s not sure he will be the one to open the debate but he thinks there needs to be a strong candidate to run against Nutter because, he says, the mayor has not begun the kind of change he promised when he got the job.
