Southwest Center City water main break repair could take a month

First there was the water main break, then the gas leak, and now the city says it could take up to a month to repair the damage at 21st and Bainbridge streets in Southwest Center City.

Streets were flooded and homes were evacuated Monday when a 48-inch water main broke and created a depe sink hole in the street. The gas leak soon followed, but was repaired.

The Inquirer reports today repairs at the site could take several weeks to a month. At least 70 homes sustained damage.
