Gloucester Township Police release ‘Click it or Ticket’ numbers

Gloucester Township Police issued more than 300 tickets over a two-week period in its ramped up “Click it or Ticket” efforts. Almost 250 of those were for seat belt offenses.

Of the 313 tickets issued between May 23 and June 5, 244 were given out for failure to wear a seat belt, as Gloucester Township Patch reports. Other offenses included child car seat violations, speeding and driving with a suspended license. One intoxicated driver was charged, and three fugitives were caught, too.

The extra enforcement was part of an overtime grant from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety.
