Gloucester County freeholder’s mailbox explodes

A Gloucester County official says he woke up Thursday to the sound of his mailbox being “blown to smithereens.”

Now, Freeholder Larry Wallace tells the Gloucester County Times that he’s livid but confounded.
The Republican says he is trying to figure out whether the 5:30 a.m. explosion was a prank or someone “trying to send me a message.”

He says investigators told him a chemical bomb was used in the blast.
