Giving back

Township supervisors in Limerick are continuing the annual tradition of donating their salaries back to the town in some capacity.

Kenneth W. Sperring Jr. and supervisors Elaine DeWan and Joseph St. Pedro all gave their $3,250 annual salaries back to the township to help fund community programs, the Phoenix reports.

The donations isn’t required but has become a longstanding tradition among supervisors, who often contribute to the township in other ways, as well.
