Full body scans at PHL

Arriving just in time for the busy holiday season are full-body scanners at Philadelphia International Airport.

Currently, PHL has one scanner, but will receive nine more by the end of this year from the Transportation Security Administration.

Sixty-eight ariports across the country have already been outfitted with 373 of the scanners, which are designed to improve security and make air travel an even slower process. With holiday travel up by 3.5 percent year, according to a report from CBS3, the scanners could bring out the ugly side people enroute to visit their in-laws.
