Former Synthes executive could withdraw appeal of prison sentence

John Walsh has a new attorney and, perhaps, had a change of heart.

The former Synthes executive appears to be preparing to withdrawal his sentencing appeal, the Inquirer reports.

Walsh was sentenced to five months in prison for his role in the pharma company’s clinical trials that violated FDA regulations with their use of bone cement. Walsh initially moved to appeal the sentence, but the new attorney on his team yesterday asked for time for Walsh to consider withdrawing the appeal.
