Former Pennsylvania DEP secretary endorses Patrick Murphy for state Attorney General

Former Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection John Hanger stated today that he thinks former Congressman Patrick Murphy would be a good choice for Pennsylvania Attorney General.

Hanger cited Murphy’s record on public health, renewable energy, education and environmental protection as reasons why the Iraq war veteran would succeed in the position.

“When it comes to issues like public health and the environment, the battleground has clearly shifted to the states. That is why Pennsylvania needs a leader like Patrick Murphy – someone who will stop at nothing to keep Pennsylvania families safe from all threats to public safety,” Hanger said in a press release.

Hanger said he believes Murphy is the perfect person for the job because he knows how to balance the challenges and opportunities that Pennsylvania currently faces.
