Flood watch issued for parts of Pa., Delaware, New Jersey

Flood watches are starting to become a familiar site.  The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for parts of Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey beginning Friday morning through Saturday afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, periods of rain and scattered thunderstorms will occur Friday through Saturday.

The ground in several areas is still soggy from rain earlier this month, which means it has limited absorption capacity.

The National Weather Service predicts as much as two to three inches of rain could fall in areas under the flood watch.
