Find out what put Elizabeth Fiedler’s face on a wanted poster

Late yesterday, WHYY reporter Elizabeth Fiedler’s photo was taken down from security posts at the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News, following my inquiries.

She was declared unsuitable for admittance to the building after she’d gone there to interview reporters, columnists and editors the week before. Read about it, and the company’s explanation here.

Tonight at 6:00 p.m. on Newsworks Tonight you can hear what got Fiedler banned at Broad and Callowhill. Fiedler’s report on what’s happening at the papers and how reporters, columnists and editors feel about it is a typically fair and thorough treatment from a fair-minded, experienced reporter.

If you miss the show, you can always catch it here at Newsworks.org, and you can listen Wednesday morning on Morning Edition, here on WHYY – 91FM.

And when you hear it, you’ll agree with me that Philadelphia Media Network’s capacity for bad media relations isn’t something you can teach. It’s a gift.
