Princeton Annual Giving campaign raises $50M

Here’s one school that doesn’t need Gov. Chris Christie’s largesse:

Princeton University says its 2010-11 Annual Giving campaign has raised more than $50 million–the second-highest in the history of the campaign.

The university said more than 61 percent of undergraduate alumni participated in what amounted to the largest number of alumni donors ever–more than 36,000.

Princeton’s Class of 1986, celebrating its 25th reunion, contributed just over $9 million, the all-time record for any class.
