It shouldn’t be a surprise, but if you’re heading out tonight, be prepared for slippery roads.

The National Weather Service says spotty freezing drizzle or freezing rain will continue overnight. While forecasters do not expect additional snow, a trace of ice is possible.

In addition, refreezing of residual moisture on surfaces is possible late tonight.

Temperatures will rise above freezing by tomorrow morning.

Slippery roadways contributed to numerous car accidents today. Shortly before 10 p.m., police in Ocean Township are on the scene of a crash involving an overturned vehicle on Deal Road in the municipality, as depicted in the photo above.
