Emergency responders pull driver from burning car in Atlantic County

Authorities say a man pulled from a burning car after it crashed on a southern New Jersey roadway is now hospitalized in critical condition.

Mullica Township in Atlantic County police tell NJ.com that 26-year-old township resident Randy Jordan suffered severe burns in the crash, which occurred around 12:15 p.m. Saturday on Richards Avenue in the Atlantic County community.

He initially was trapped inside the vehicle, but police and other emergency responders were able to free him a short time later.

Jordan apparently was traveling alone in the car, and it was not immediately clear whether any other vehicles were involved in the accident.
