Early numbers show Punkin Chunkin’s 2008 distance record unbroken
This weekend marked the annual Punkin Chunkin in Delaware, and though turnout was high, the distance record in 2008 appears to be unbroken.
Unofficial results reported in the Wilmington News Journal show the top distance this year was 3,699.27 ft., compared with 4,484 ft. in 2008. If you didn’t launch a pumpkin or couldn’t make it to Delaware to spectate, you can catch the whole thing Nov. 24 on the Discovery Channel.
