Eagles owner says he looks forward to another season with Andy Reid

One thing we know for sure is Jeffrey Lurie won’t be talking Super Bowl at today’s news conference.

The Eagles owner will be in front of the cameras at 2:30 p.m. to talk about the team’s future. He must mean the long-term future because the team fell short of the playoffs this year. The season is over.

Update, 2:50 p.m. “He has the fire in his belly to be the best,” Lurie said of coach Andy Reid. “I want to see our team coached by Andy Reid next year.”

Lurie says the rest of the coaching staff is up to Reid, but the owner confirms Howie Roseman will return as general manager.

Spoken like a true fan, Lurie called the first half of the season, “dismal.”
