Two men ran what police say a “distraction scam” to steal a woman’s wallet in an Atlantic City casino, authorities said in a release.

According to a statement from the New Jersey State Police, the two men worked together last Sunday night at Caesars Casino, with one distracting a woman while the other removed a wallet from her bag.

The wallet contained credit cards and other personal items, the statement said.

In a Facebook post, police asked the public to share the images of the men.

“More eyes gives us better chances of identifying these fellas. And we’d sure like to make a second post with their mug shots,” the post said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Sgt. Harry McDermott of the New Jersey State Police Financial Crimes Squad at (609) 441-7464. Anonymous tips are welcome.
