DSP needs help finding robbery suspect
Considered armed and dangerous, Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s help locating 23-year-old Christopher McCormick of Wilmington.
Police say McCormick is wanted in connection with the robbery of a 14-year-old Stanton boy back in January.
Detectives say McCormick was one of two male suspects who approached the boy while he was walking home from school on January 26, 2011, along Limestone Road and Oregon Road. The victim turned over everything he had and was ordered at knifepoint to take the robbers to his home. When they arrived, the boy knocked on the door and the suspects ran off when the boy’s father came to the door.
McCormick’s described as a white male, 6′ tall, 143 lbs. with a slender build. He has brown hair and hazel eyes with tattoos on his neck and upper right arm, as well as scars on his head and left shoulder. McCormick is facing a handful of charges, including robbery and kidnapping.
Detectives are asking anyone with information concerning Christopher McCormick’s whereabouts to contact Troop 2 at 302-8343-2630 ext. 6. You can also text your tip by sending keyword “DSP” plus your message to 274637 (CRIMES). Tipsters can also submit info online.
