Drug bust

Carolyn Beeler sends the following update from the Health and Science Desk:

Philadelphia Police confiscated roughly 7,000 grams of heroin – about  $2.3 millon worth – this week in what they’re calling the largest heroin bust in Philadelphia history.  According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, three men were arrested for posession with intent to distribute and an investigation into the chain of supply of the drugs is ongoing.

Carolyn will have a radio report on the bust this afternoon on All Things Considered.
