Dover Transit Hub ready for commuters

Officials will cut the ribbon to open the new Dover Transit Hub today, marking the completion of a $4.5 million project.

The new DART bus stop features a 500 foot long canopy to provide shelter for riders waiting for their bus. The project was funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Also just completed is the $11.5 million South Governors Avenue project, one of the largest transportation projects in Dover. That project includes a new bridge at the Puncheon Run Creek. Workers also have placed all utility services in the corridor underground.
