Dog days

Protestors of Michael Vick haven’t been at many of the Eagles’ recent home games, but it’s not because they’ve given up the cause. The group of animal lovers is afraid of the physical attack against them.

In a letter to various media outlets, the group of more than 20 activists laments the games missed, but expresses concerns over escalating violence outside the games.

Citing shoving, elbowing and object-throwing as some of the fans’ retalitory efforts against the group, the animal welfare promoters say they’re still out to remind Eagles fans of Vick’s past as an animal abuser — just from afar.
