Devil’s Pool Forum

The recent press coverage of Devil’s Pool has stirred up anger among a few residents who believe more attention should be paid to the fact that swimming has always been banned there.

I would agree that NewsWorks has a responsibility to make this clear. I will do so in all future coverage.

But whether swimming is against the rules or not, people continue to swim, dive and party at that spot. With that in mind, I’ve opened up this space for people to raise questions and concerns about the future of Devil’s Pool.

Here’s some questions I have about Devil’s Pool that you might be able to answer:

Who is trashing the place?

Is trash or swimming the biggest problem there?

Was it right to put a map up disclosing the location of Devil’s Pool?

When did Devil’s Pool become a trash dump?

What should be done now to protect Devil’s Pool?

Since swimming and diving are dangerous should an invisible electro-fence be put up to shock some common sense into would-be swimmers?
