Details of rebuilt Levoy Theater revealed, late summer opening expected

Things are coming together at the Levoy Theater in Millville, N.J.

After collapsing last winter during construction, the theater has been being pieced back together ever since, and now a late summer opening is projected.
The Daily Journal reports the marquee is being rebuilt in Vineland to match the theater’s 1927 version of the sign, and a local production of The Music Man will be one of the first performances.

The $8.6 million project got underway after the theater collapsed last January. That was soon followed by lawsuit from neighbors of the building a fine from OSHA, which was eventually downgraded.

Production nights will be dedicated to people who’ve helped bring the Levoy back.
