Despite national decrease, no change for Delaware unemployment rate

While the national unemployment rate continues to fall, Delaware’s remains steady.

As Mark Eichmann reports for WHYY, the state’s January unemployment rate held fast at 8.5 percent — the same as in December. That rate has fallen since this time last year, though. Since early 2010, 1,500 more Delawareans are employed.
