Demonstrators petition Comcast to broadcast Al Jazeera English
Protestors from Occupy Philadelphia and an organization called Rethink Press marched through Center City from Independence Mall to the Comcast Center to deliver a petition requesting that Comcast broadcast Al Jazeera English.
Activists touted the 23,092 they collected in favor of bringing the Arabic news service to its channel listing. Currently only five U.S. cities have access to the network via their cable provider.
