Delaware trap shooting fire ruled arson

An early morning fire at the Wilmington Trap Shooting Association was intentionally set, according to the State Fire Marshal’s office.

Just after 3 a.m. someone set fire to a building and small shed at the Association’s location in Glasgow.  Firefighters from Newark’s Aetna Hose Hook and Ladder Company found heavy fire and smoke coming from the buildings when they arrived at the scene.

The fire destroyed the shed and caused heavy damage to the main building.  Damage is estimated at $75,000.  No one was injured.

Fire investigators say the arsonist set two fires, one in each building.  Their investigation into who was behind the fires is ongoing.
