Delaware Senator Chris Coons’ SUV was stolen from the driveway of his Wilmington home.

Spokesman Brian Cunningham confirmed the junior senator’s 2014 black Ford Explorer was being warmed up when it was stolen from his home in the city’s Highlands neighborhood. The car was lifted some time before 8 a.m., he said.

Coons was not at home at the time; he had already left for Washington, D.C. Wilmington Police are searching for the car now.
