Delaware police on the lookout for woman illegally cashing checks

An unknown female, who was most recently caught on bank surveillance video using a fake Florida ID to get cash, is wanted by the Delaware State Police and Selbyville Police Department.

The two departments are asking the public to help identify the woman who appears to be about 5’05” tall, 130–160 lbs.  According to police reports, the woman illegally cashed checks at Wells Fargo on Coastal Highway in Rehoboth and the PNC Bank on Church Street in Selbyville.

Police say the first incident happened on Monday, July 2nd at the Wells Fargo Bank.  That’s where the unidentified woman presented fake identification and cashed a check for an undisclosed amount of cash. However, a bank teller alerted police after becoming suspicious when the unknown woman tried to obtain a debit card under the name on the ID.

The second incident occurred in Selbyville at the PNC Bank on Tuesday, July 3rd. Police say at that bank the woman presented a Maryland license and bank card, withdrawing an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing.
