Delaware Co. to begin spraying for mosquitoes

It appears it’s that time of the year as Delaware County will begin to spray for mosquitoes in six towns, beginning Wednesday.

The Delco Times reports the treatments from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection will be administered with ATV-mounted equipment to spray open spaces.

The areas that will be sprayed include Ridley and Darby townships, Glenolden, Brookhaven and Upland and Folcroft boroughs.

According to the report, DEP officials will be dispensing Biomist 3+ 15 insecticide product, which is designed to provide a quick and effective control of adult mosquito populations.
