Delaware gas prices up slightly

Delawareans are paying more than ever for late-summer driving, according to AAA, and with a storm churning in the Gulf of Mexico, the price at the pump could jump even higher.  
The national average price for a gallon of gas is up to $3.73.  Delaware’s average price is $3.71, nearly 20 cents higher than a year ago.  AAA Mid-Atlantic’s Jana Tidwell says the final few weeks of the summer driving season could see prices continue their rise.  “As storm activity heats up the Atlantic and Tropical Storm Isaac strengthens, gas prices will almost certainly be impacted if we see oil production disruptions in the Gulf of Mexico.
