Delaware gas prices continue to decline

As Memorial Day weekend approaches to kick off the summer travel season, AAA Mid-Atlantic says gas prices are continuing their downward trend.

Prices at the pumps recently started to retreat from $4.00 per gallon.  At the start of the week, the statewide average was $3.85, down ten cents from the previous week.  AAA says analysts believe prices may have peaked for the time being.  Delawareans are making their summer vacation plans, and the auto club says nationwide about 34.9-million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home over Memorial Day weekend, a slight increase of 0.2-percent from a year ago.
