Delaware Bridge toll going up

The Delaware River and Bay Authority has approved a $1 hike in bridge tolls.

The new fare is $4.  It takes effect July 1.  The DRBA says the increases are needed to fund capital improvement projects on the Delaware Memorial Bridge and the Lewes Cape May ferry.  The DRBA operates with members from Delaware and New Jersey.  Neither state contributes to the organization’s operations.
