Northwest Philadelphia has three-week stint as city’s deadliest section

    For three weeks this winter, Northwest Philadelphia led the city in homicides.

    Most troubling for residents and police is that there’s no clear reason for the spike and there haven’t been many arrests.

    Check out Aaron Moselle’s story today on the recent rash of homicides in the Northwest and how officers in the 14th and 39th police districts have been handling the extra workload.

     

    Some people Aaron talked to point to the tough economy, others to the mild winter, but neither speculation is good enough for residents who are starting to feel unsafe.
