    Government/Public Service Experience:

New Castle County Sheriff since 1980

    Platform:

Walsh is centering his re-election campaign around his experience as the NCC Sheriff for the past 30 years. He has guided the department through these tough economic times: increasing efficiency, increasing revenues, and keeping as many staff as possible, employed.

    Issues:

-Responsible fiscal management and building an efficient administration are the two pillars of Walsh’s campaign. The department has reduced operating budget in the last year, following the motto of doing more with less.

-Under Walsh, the Sheriff’s department has undergone much technological advancement most recently Version 4, a document tracking system that has increased efficiency across the board.

-Walsh also has continued to maintain a compassionate policy toward the delivery of sheriff sale documents to New Castle County residents, so as to ensure his deputies’ safety.

    Personal:

Married to wife Norma Testa, has three children and one grandchild

Life-long resident of New Castle County
