Cross-dressing bank robber strikes again

The man who robbed a Sovereign Bank branch in August has struck again. Police are confident it’s the same suspect . . . because he wears women’s clothing.

The suspect attempted to rob the branch on the 6700-block of Germantown Avenue Tuesday, just as he did Aug. 9. In both cases he waved a gun and demanded cash.

Tuesday, he was wearing female Muslim garb. In August, he did a bit of primping first and wore a wig and long dress.

Jokes aside, this guy’s considered armed and dangerous. He’s described as a black male in his 30’s, 5’6” to 5’8” tall, with a thin build. In the summer robbery he was clean shaven. If you spot him, call the FBI’s Violent Crime Task Force at 215-418-4000.
