1.26.11

700 block E. Sharpnack St. – complainant said someone stole her cell phone from her pocket.

1000 block E. Haines St. – tools stolen from a 1999 Chevy Blazer. Items were in the backseat of the vehicle.

Unit block E. High St. – complainant, a teacher at Germantown High School, said someone broke into his locked classroom and took a Macbook laptop from a filing cabinet.

200 block E. Boyer St. – 2008 Dodge Durango stolen.

W. Cheltenham Ave. / Ogontz Ave. – Panasonic laptop stolen. Complainant, a store manager, said someone entered the restaurant and took the computer.

5600 block Chew Ave. – complainant’s cousin was shot and taken to the hospital. Two shell cases were found at the location.

300 block High St. – two French door and one window stolen from the property. Compliant said the property was vacant at the time following a recent fire.

200 block E. Queen Lane – car seat, camera, eyeglasses and $100 stolen from a 2000 Saturn.

6300 block Germantown Ave. – complainant, owner of the shop, said the building’s alarm went off. When she went to check on things, she saw the offender dashing through the front door with a bin full of adult videos and toys. Offender stopped by police shortly after fleeing. The property was recovered.

5600 block Chew Ave. – complainant said she heard about 10 gunshots while sitting with her daughter in her living room. One bullet struck a screen door window, then the front door before hitting a living room wall. There were no injuries.

8400 block Michener Ave. – complainant said her husband raped her. The two were taken to the Northwest Detectives Unit afterwards.

6300 block Stenton Ave. – complainant, a store clerk at American Cash Express, said someone came in and tried spraying gasoline on her. The offender then asked for cash. The complainant ran to the back to grab her manager. The offender fled empty-handed. No one was injured.

N. 19th St. / 69th Ave. – 1998 Pontiac Bonneville containing a handgun was stolen. Complainant said he had left the car to let it warm up. Moments later he heard his vehicle pulling off. He chased the car until it disappeared out of sight.

8300 block Germantown Ave. – Apple iPhone, Macbook and wallet stolen from a 2005 Volvo.

6800 block Stenton Ave. – flat screen TV, Playstation 2, stroller/car seat combo and more were stolen from the property.  Complainant said the room she was renting was unlocked at the time of the incident.

5700 block Anderson St. – Colt shotgun stolen. Complainant said two men attacked him after leaving the bar. Offenders ran off with the item after striking him in the face and knocking him to the ground.

4900 block Germantown Ave. – complainant said three men approached him and robbed him at gunpoint. The complainant handed over some cash. Offenders then got into the complainant’s car, which had three occupants. A female accomplice followed as they drove off. The offenders then got stuck in the snow and were later arrested by police.

700 block E. Haines St. – complainant said an acquaintance grabbed a butcher knife and backed him into a corner during an argument. Complainant was taken to the Northwest Detectives Division.

Germantown Avenue/ Northwestern Ave. –  complainant said someone broke into her friend’s 2010 Nissan Altima and took two credit cards and $300 from a pocketbook.  There was no damage to the car.

 

1600 block Wadsworth Ave. – Complainant, store manager, said eight offenders entered the shoe store and ran out with several items.

6800 block Sprague St. – 2011 Audi Q5 stolen. Complainant said she left the car running to heat up and when she returned it was gone.

7300 block N. 21st St. – three big screen TVs, two laptops, various jewelry and more stolen from the property. The house has no alarm.

700 block E. Phil-Ellena St. – Jensen handgun stolen. Complainant said he and his nephew were working out his basement. When the nephew left, complainant said he noticed the gun was gone.

4500 block Stenton Ave. – complainant said two men mugged him just before 9 p.m. One man put a gun to the complainant’s head during the incident. The offenders fled with a cell phone and cigarettes.

Chew Ave. / Church Lane – 1991 Mazda Pro stolen between 7 p.m. Jan. 30 and 5:50 p.m. Jan.31.  Complainant said the car had a flat tire and a broken transmission.

5000 block Germantown Ave. – 1998 Mazda MPV stolen. Complainant said he went into the mosque to pray. He said he took off his shoes beforehand and placed the keys inside. After praying, complainant said the keys were gone with the car.

500 block Wellesley Road – computer projector and a jar of change stolen from a vehicle.

600 block W. Allens Lane – Mac laptop and cash stolen from a 2010 Lexus 350.

Unit block W. Allens Lane – Apple iPod stolen from a 2007 Infiniti M35X.

100 block E. Chestnut Hill Ave. – handgun, Playstation 3, Xbox system, Sony camera and jewelry stolen from property. Complainant said the items were taken between 2:30-8:15 p.m. Jan. 31.

Montana St. / Boyer St. – 2004 Nissan Titan stolen.

200 block Church Lane – Playstation game system and two controllers stolen from the property. Complainant’s son said someone broke into his father’s apartment sometime between 9 p.m. Jan.25 and 8 a.m. Feb. 2. There were no signs of a forced entry. The father’s other son does not have permission to be in the apartment but neighbors have seen him around the building.

Unit block E. Johnson St. – silver and turquoise jewelry was stolen from the property. Complainant said his brother’s ex-girlfriend, who has shown interest in the items in the past, may be to blame.

Unit block W. Johnson St. – IMB laptop and book stolen from the property. There were no signs of a forced entry. Complainant said his ex-girlfriend still has keys to the place.

6700 block Germantown Ave. – complainant, the bank’s manager, said someone walked into his office, pointed a gun at him and demanded he open a vault. Offender didn’t walk out with any cash, but fled in an unknown direction after the incident.

8300 block Germantown Ave. – GPS, school bag, books and a laptop computer stolen from a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe. Complainant said the items were taken between 5:30 p.m. Jan. 31 and 6 a.m. Feb. 1.

6900 block Sprague St. – 2006 vehicle stolen. Complainant said she left the car running to heat up and went inside. When she returned, the car was gone.
