01.19.11

7900 block Williams Ave. – sunglasses and leather gloves were stolen from a 2006 Chevy Equinox. Complainant said someone broke the sunroof on the vehicle and took the items.

5300 block Chew Ave. – bank teller at Beneficial Bank said someone came into the bank and presented a demand note. The offender also voiced a demand for cash. (see suspect’s picture)

6100 block Chew Ave. – four Impala wheels and a GPS system stolen.

5300 block Chew Ave. – tablet cell phone stolen from a T-Mobile store. Employee said the offender stole the item after he was asked to leave the store.

300 block Vernon Rd. –  Dodge Durango stolen. Complainant said an acquaintance may have her car.

1300 block E. Rittenhouse St. – two gold bracelets were stolen from a bedroom dresser between 9 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Complainant said the maintenance man was sent to fix the door to her apartment.

8000 block Cherokee St. – Mac laptop stolen from a Springside School student. Complainant said someone took the computer from his book bag in the hallway.

1600 block E. Washington Lane – Complainant said three men pushed her to the ground and robbed her at gunpoint. The offenders ran off with a pocketbook containing a Blackberry cell phone.

7200 block Woolston Ave. – Apple iPhone, three pairs of boots, a Nike book bag and a cell phone were stolen from the Simons Recreation Center. Site manager there said the items were taken from an unlocked room.

5600 block McMahon Ave. – Sony TV, DVD player, radio, stereo system and a microwave oven stolen from the property.

200 block W. Walnut Lane – Louis Vuitton duffle bag stolen from the property. Complainant said someone broke off the door knob to her apartment and took the item from the living room.

1600 block Wadsworth Ave. – 1996 Nissan Maxima stolen from a parking lot. Complainant said she left the car running while she put mail in the mailbox. When she turned around her vehicle was gone. A witness said she saw someone jump in the vehicle and drive off.

5800 Stockton Road – laptop and computer bag stolen from the property. Complainant said he noticed the items were gone a day after he had over a few friends.

Unit block E. Clapier St. – Sony laptop, Sony Walkman, Xbox 360 game system, two flat screen TVs and more stolen from the property. Complainant said the items were taken sometime between 3:30-9:30 p.m. Jan. 20.

600 block Church Lane – 2002 Chevy Cavalier stolen.

7200 block N. 21st St. – 1998 Dodge Avenger stolen. Complainant said she let her friend borrow the car and she refuses to return it.

200 block W. Walnut Lane – 55″ TV and laptop stolen from the property. Complainant said the items were on loan from Rent-A-Center.

Unit block W. Duval St. – 9mm Smith & Wesson handgun was stolen from a front bedroom cabinet.

200 block E. Gowen Ave. – Wii game system, 20 DVDs, jewelry and a Canon Rebel Digital Camera stolen from the property.

7900 block Navajo St. – jewelry, two watches and two knives were stolen from the property.

7400 block Briar Road – Toshiba laptop, 42″ Toshiba TV, Playstation 3 system, jewelry and more stolen from the property. Complainant said someone entered the home through a rear basement door and ransacked the entire property.

6900 block Ogontz Ave. – 1990 Pontiac 6000 stolen.

200 block E. Hortter St. – complainant said an acquaintance entered his home with a gun and told him to leave.

400 block E. Walnut Lane – 2003 Lincoln Navigator stolen. Complainant said someone pulled a gun on him and forced him to hand over his wallet and keys.

Wadsworth & Forest Aves. – complainant said three guys mugged him on the street.

1200 block E. Stafford St. – complainant said someone robbed him at gunpoint while he was delivering food to the location. Offender, who popped out of an alleyway, fled with food, a cell phone, a Tom-Tom GPS and $150.

5500 block Matthews St. – copper pipes stolen from the property between 10 p.m. Jan. 23 and 12 p.m. Jan. 24. Complainant said the pipes were taken from the basement. She added her house is being repaired after a fire on Jan. 22.

700 block E. Chelten Ave. – 1996 Chevy Prism stolen, but recovered prior to report. Complainant said while inside a coffee shop he saw someone jump into his running car. He jumped onto the car’s hood until the offender crashed the car on Haines Street. Complainant shot at the offender with a handgun.

100 block Herman St. – complainant said she believes that someone who lives on her block punched her Jan. 22. Police came out Jan.23.

300 block Wellesley Road – Coach bag, Coach wallet and various credit cards stolen from a 2003 Audi. Complainant said the items were sitting on the front seat of the car.

600 block Glen Echo Road – cell phone stolen from a 2010 Subaru Outback between 7:30 p.m. Jan. 22 and 10:30 a.m. Jan.23.

200 block W. Mount Airy Ave. – GPS system stolen from a 2007 Honda Accord between 9:30 p.m. Jan.23 and 7:30 a.m. Jan.24.

800 block Thouron Ave. – complainant said fellow students at New Media Technology Charter School attacked her on the basement floor. One offender stabbed her three times with a screw driver on the right side of the face. The other three punched, kicked and pulled her hair. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

 

01.25.11

1200 E. Haines St. – police found a Chevy Astro on fire with clothes stuffed in the gas tank. Police believe the incident to have been arson.

1200 block E. Price St. – 42″ plasma flat screen was stolen from the property. Complainant said her nephew may have come to the house while she was gone. He is the only one with a key to the house and there were no signs of a forced entry.

5800 block Germantown Ave. – complainant said two men mugged him at gunpoint. The offenders fled with $20.

Unit block E. Roumfort Road – Delta traffic painting set stolen. Complainant said UPS sent package to her neighbor. The neighbor then placed the package outside the complainant’s mailbox. It was later taken.

400 block E. Durham St. – Macbook laptop stolen from the property. No signs of a forced entry.
