UPDATE: All lanes are now open.

Police are on the scene of a crash involving a truck on the Tunney Bridge, the inbound access to Pelican Island during construction on the Mathis Bridge, this morning.

As of 7:45 a.m., the inbound lane to the Barnegat Bay Island is closed, according to 511nj.org.

“Anyone traveling to Seaside this morning would be well advised to steer clear of the bridge leading there from Toms River,” reports JSHN contributor Jesse Seidel-Iaquilino.

Eastbound traffic approaching Fischer Boulevard is heavy, according to Google Maps.

The crash also involves a diesel fuel leak, emergency radio transmissions indicate.

    There are no injuries.
