Countdown to “Springtime in Paris”

March 1

Philadelphia businesses support the Flower Show with innovative, colorful and whimsical floral displays in their windows and lobbies.  The Phlower Power Window Decorating Contest is in full swing around the city and beyond, and judges are on the lookout for the most creative display this year.  New this season, office building lobbies are being decorated.  Thank you to BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) for coordinating this aspect of the contest.  A list of retailers and office buildings is attached.

March 2

Construction is under way on the Eiffel Tower (the largest structure ever built for the Flower Show), Arc de Triomphe (made of recycled plastics), Notre Dame Cathedral, Monet’s Garden, and other icons and elements of the Parisian landscape in the Convention Center. Care for a peek?

March 3

The City of Light meets the City of Brotherly Love. The Cira Center’s beautiful lights commemorate the Flower Show and so do the PECO Building’s Crown Lights – all getting ready for the magnificent light show that will be on display at the Eiffel Tower every day at the Flower Show.

March 4

Flowers, flowers and more fresh, beautiful, spring flowers make their way into the Convention Center as the final touches are added to the fantastic exhibits.

March 5

Media & Members Preview Day at the Flower Show, from noon to 3:30 p.m. AND a preview party at 6:00pm
