Corbett’s first gubernatorial challenger emerges

The race is heating up already for Pennsylvania’s 2014 gubernatorial election, and Tom Corbett’s first challenger has emerged.

He’s Cumberland County’s Max Myers, a retired Army vet and director of Global Awakenings Ministry School in Mechanicsburg.

PoliticsPA has the details on Myers’ campaign, which has gotten off to a slower start than planned thanks to the floods that foiled his reception at the Democratic State Committee last weekend.

Who does Myers cite as his inspiration? None other than Philly’s William Penn.
