Congressman Castle defends moderate stance

NPR’s Morning Edition takes a look at the U.S. Senate race in Delaware.

National Public Radio took a look at the U.S. Senate race in Delaware on the Morning Edition program today.  You can find the story in it’s entirety on NPR.org.

Congressman Mike Castle talked about his votes against healthcare reform and the stimulus package, and discussed how he makes decisions on what legislation he will or won’t support.

“I have always tried to hold the political concerns off and try to make my decisions based on what I think is going to be most helpful to the people, the state and the country, and then let the politics fall where it may. And that creates a lot of opportunity for my opponents to, you know, make their accusations about me.”
