Your morning commute: Mass transit update

Irene is behind us, but some transportation problems remain.

Here’s some useful information for your morning commute:

NJ Transit is up and running, but prepare for some delays.

Amtrak has restored a lot of service–from Philadelphia to Harrisburg, for example–but you still can’t get from Philadelphia to New York.

And here’s the latest from SEPTA: The Cynwyd and Paoli/Thorndale and Regional Rail lines are scheduled to resume this morning, but with altered schedules and stops, so be sure to check before you go. Trenton service is still suspended. Everything else seems to be running smoothly.

Flooding is still an issue on many roadways, so take care and leave extra time for travel.

The good news? It’s supposed to be another beautiful day!
