Cleanup groups team up for collaborative fundraiser

Local fundraising efforts are good thng. Until they’ve got adjacent neighborhoods and back-to-back block organizations competing for the same money. Recognizing this, several groups in Manayunk, Roxborough, East Falls and Lower Merion have joined forces to start a fundraising effort that can help everyone

As Megan Pinto reports for NewsWorks, Umbria Street Neighbors, Friends of the Ivy Ridge Trail, Friends of Germany Hill, Friends of Inn Yard Park, Friends of Pretzel Park and Lower Merion Historical Society have all signed onto the project that will create a local grant available to all the groups, rather than create competition.
