City denies Ride the Ducks plan for Schuylkill

The City of Philadelphia has denied a contract to Ride the Ducks for tours that would take the amphibious vehicles into the Schuylkill River.

Mayor Michael Nutter said in a release: “The city has fully reviewed Ride the Ducks proposal for the Schuylkill River and does not feel that it meets the city’s standards for operation.”

Ride the Ducks was the only company to submit a proposal.
