Senator Bill Baroni is Christie’s choice to be deputy executive director of the Port Authority which oversees bridges, tunnels and airports.

Christie: I need someone who I can count on to make sure that we deal with all of the really complex transportation issues that we need to deal with over the course of the next four years. The Port Authority has always been a significant opportunity for funding for projects in the state of New Jersey.

Baroni says he’s loved serving in the legislature but looks forward to his new role at the agency he says has the power to create jobs and be a critical part of the state’s economic recovery.
