    Celebrate Lunar New Year, Black History Month, or the arts this weekend!

    Sunday: Barnes Free First Sundays

    It’s Free First Sunday at the Barnes Foundation Museum. This month features an African Art Adventure, and a Celebration of Black Writing. Don’t miss wonderful arts and crafts, musical performances and more throughout the day. Free tickets are limited, available starting at 9 a.m. on site. Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    It’s the Year of the Monkey at The Please Touch Museum! Dance your way into the New Year with musical performances, ribbon dancing and a Monkey Parade. Free with regular admission.

    Saturday: Mural Arts Trolley Tour

    Explore iconic African American figures through an interactive tour of Philly’s amazing murals! Tickets include admission to the African American Museum for the day. 10 a.m. to noon. Adults $32, children $28, seniors $30. Advanced purchase required.

    Saturday and Sunday: Chinese New Year in Chinatown

    Celebrate the Chinese New Year throughout the weekend. There will be variety of vendors, parades, performances, and activities all through Chinatown. Free.

    Saturday: Wool Felting Workshop

    Come out and learn the wonderful art of wool felting at The Nesting House! Work on your own project after the free demonstration. Ages 6-plus. Free, 10 a.m. to noon.
