Are you an educator? Learn some new educational techniques at a free lecture at Chestnut Hill College this week.
The college, located at 9601 Germantown Ave., will host a lecture entitled, “Universal Design: It’s for Everyone,” on Wednesday Sept. 5 at 2 p.m. at the school’s East Parlor in Joseph Hall.
Ann Keefer, Ph.D., project coordinator for the Ensuring Higher Education Opportunity for ALL Demonstration Project and the Temple University Institute on Disabilities will host.
Attendees will be introduced to a number of techniques for enhancing student learning, including guided notes, graphic organizers and the pause procedure. They will be encouraged to consider alternatives to multiple-choice exams and term papers, with assessments keyed to specific learning outcomes for each course.
The lecture is free and open to the public. Contact Keely McCarthy, Ph.D., at email@example.com for more information.
